On Wednesday, 09 November 2016, the IUCN Technical Workshop on Land Tenure and REDD + was held at Relais Saint Andre hotel in Mbalmayo. The Center for Communication and Sustainable Development for All (CECOSDA) took part in the validation of the land tenure document specific to TRIDOM and TNS landscape prepared by the IUCN - Cameroon National Committee.
During the two-day workshop, the document was updated and the proposed recommendations for work improvement were as follows:
- Highlight issues related to land registration in advocacy;
- Illustrate and document findings and facts;
- Focus interventions on direct beneficiaries;
- Illustrating and documenting areas through participatory mapping
At the end of this exchange, a road map was shared. The final document resulting from this work will be shared with all the members for possible corrections and this from 15 to 17 November 2016. Then, the first draft highlighting the general report, the advocacy document and the financial document will be shared with all members. An audio documentary will also be produced at the end of the final works.
Professor NGOUFO noted that this work was an initiative of the national committee of IUCN Cameroon and was led by Mr. Jonas KEMAJOU SYAPZE, consultant of the national committee of the IUCN.
